Hello everyone – hard to believe we’re into August already. I’m now halfway to the release date I wanted to set for my new eBook – 10/30/14. Sounds kind of odd considering it’s not a Hallowe’en book, I know, but I chose that date because that’s when I’ll be 40 1/2. I finished going through my rough draft and making notes on things I want to change or expand.
This coming week I will start working on making those changes or doing more research where I need to. I hope to have that all done by the end of this month, but we’ll see. I also toyed with the idea of splitting this eBook into two eBooks – one on work at home phone jobs that hire employees, and one on work at home phone jobs that hire independent contractors. Then I started thinking about it, and realized I’d have to come up with new title ideas and marketing ideas. It’s something I may consider for the future though, after I see how well this eBook sells. I also read about an interesting idea that Derek Murphy had to get more reviews – he’s created something called “Indie Author Champions,” a program that encourages authors to write more book reviews, which is a great way to build you platform. You can read more about it here. Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, I read a great book this week about one of my favorite programs, Evernote. It’s called Master Evernote: The Unofficial Guide to Organizing Your Life with Evernote,” and it’s written by SJ Scott. I’ve been using Evernote for years to keep information organized, but this book provided me with ideas that have helped me get much more organized. For those of you who don’t know what Evernote is, you can read my blog post about it on Work at Home Adventures, though it barely scratches the surface of what I know about it now. I plan to write a more thorough post about it on my work at home tips blog soon. That’s it for this update, I hope everyone has a great week!
