Good morning everyone! I hope everyone has had a good week. I’m pleased to say I’ve made more progress on my ebook editing – I found more information on some of the companies I needed to find information on. I’ve found as much information as I can right now for all the sites that hire employees, so I’ve moved on to the independent contractor section of my book. I would like to finish that section by the end of September (if not sooner!) and then go back and see if I can find any of the information I still need. If not, I may just have to publish the book without it.
Also, thanks to Amy Lynn Andrews, I found out about a great resource that I hope will help keep me on task with the things I work on – TomatoTimer. I’m not sure how many of you are familiar with the Pomodoro technique, but for those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s a time-management technique where you work for 25 minutes on one project, then take a five minute break. Then you work for another 25 minutes and take another 5 minute break – you do three or four of these work-break cycles (called Pomodoros) and then take a longer break. While you’re working each of these cycles, you time yourself. You can use anything to time yourself, but Tomato Timer is probably the best online Pomodoro timer I’ve found.
I’ve also been working on making some changes to this site. I changed the theme, and also removed all the Google Adsense ads. If you’ve visited this site recently, you may have also noticed I’ve now got a pop-up sign-up form on it.
This coming week I’m hoping to make more progress on editing and finding more information for my eBook, and I would also like to try and write some more posts for my work at home tips blog. I hope everyone has a great week!
