My eBook Progress for the Week Ending 1/17/16

Good morning! I’m pleased to say I got my eBook submitted to my editor this week – now I just have to wait for her to edit it and send it back to me. This coming week I don’t have much planned as far as  Get Paid to Talk Volume One, although I probably should start putting together a strategy for getting the word out about my eBook promo for it. I think that’s what my goal will be for this week as far as my eBook. Other than that, I’ve been working on some other freelance writing, and hope to be able to get more this coming week. I know this is a very short post, but I hope everyone has a great week!

My eBook Progress for the Week Ending 9/20/15 and Working on Redefining My Goals

Good morning! I’m sorry to say I did not make much progress on my two eBooks this week, nor did I  because I got caught up with some other things. I did however get some answers to the interview I posted for the post I’m planning to write for my Work at Home Tips Online website, so I’ll probably publish that this week.

Beyond that, after reading Nicola Sunni’s goals update on her blog Achieve Your Best Life, I’ve started looking at some of the goals I’ve accomplished this year, and what I want to achieve in the 3 1/2 months or so that are left in the year. I don’t remember if I did a goals post or not earlier this year or last year, and I actually couldn’t find one when I just looked a little while ago, but my one writing-related goal was to get my second eBook, Get Paid to Talk, published and start getting some sales from it, and I did that earlier this year. Get Paid to Talk was published on 2/1/15 and so far I’ve made probably about $6 from it – not much at all. I did get a few sales on it when I lowered the price to 99 cents, but not many. And so far it hasn’t gotten any reviews.  So what I’m going to do is shoot for re-launching that book as two separate books – one on independent contractor work from home jobs, and the other on employee work from home jobs – by the end of this year. My goal for this week is going to be to come up with a plan for how to do that.  Continue reading “My eBook Progress for the Week Ending 9/20/15 and Working on Redefining My Goals”

My eBook Progress for the Week Ending 11/30/14

Hello everyone! I hope all my readers in the States had a great Thanksgiving. I apologize for this post being late, I was away for the weekend and didn’t get home until last night.  This past week I did make some more progress on making money to get a cover designed for my eBook, and also started looking at cover designers. My editor also emailed me the edited version of my eBook. This week I’ll be making some changes that she suggested, and also working more on making money to hire someone to design a cover for my eBook. I also need to work more on my eBook description and start thinking about the keywords for my eBook

I also wanted to share a link to a post about my first eBook – you can read it here: http://www.writermarkiemadden.blogspot.com/2014/11/featured-author-erica-martin-and-book.html.

I hope everyone has a great week!

eBook Progress for the Week Ending 8/31/14

Hello everyone! I’m pleased to say I made some more progress on my eBook research this week. I decided rather than trying to focus on finding information on certain companies, that I would do what I can to find information on those companies, whether it was looking for information online or looking up the companies’ Facebook pages and sending them messages through there. This strategy has actually worked well for me – one company that I sent a Facebook message to asking for more information responded with the information I was looking for.

As I expected, sales dropped off on my eBook after my Kindle Countdown promotion, but that’s okay, in another week I should be able to lower the price down to .99 cents.

This week I also was finally able to get Piwik installed.  It definitely shows some very detailed information, including the IP addresses of the people that are visiting my site. I was actually able to figure out that it was logging my visits to my webpage – for example, when I would log in to make changes or work on blog posts. I did figure out how to not track my visits, though.

That’s it for this week. I’m heading out of town for Labor Day weekend, but will be publishing my first “group” interview post on this site next week, as well as another update on my eBook progress.

eBook Progress for the Week Ending 8/3/14

progress-01Hello everyone – hard to believe we’re into August already.  I’m now halfway to the release date I wanted to set for my new eBook – 10/30/14.  Sounds kind of odd considering it’s not a Hallowe’en book, I know, but I chose that date because that’s when I’ll be 40 1/2. I finished going through my rough draft and making notes on things I want to change or expand.
